The PADI Advanced Open Water course is designed to help you refine your skills and explore new aspects of scuba diving.
You will learn to better control your buoyancy, navigate underwater, and dive to greater depths. We will also explore the wrecks of Boracay: Camia (boat) and Tri-bird (airplane).
In addition to the 2 mandatory dives (deep dive and navigation), you will have the opportunity to complete three specialty dives, tailored to your interests, including:

Course Overview
The course consists of two parts:
1 – PADI eLearning
Accessible online, on computer or smartphone, you will deepen your theoretical knowledge of scuba diving at your own pace, wherever you are. This step covers:
- Deep diving : Understand the effects of depth on your body and equipment.
- Advanced underwater navigation : Using the compass and navigation techniques in real conditions.
- Diving specialties : An overview of the specialties you can choose, such as night diving or wreck diving.
- Quiz : Validate your knowledge with online quizzes to prepare for your practical dives.
With eLearning, you can progress at your own pace and focus on practice once you’re in Boracay.

2 – Open Water Dives
The practical part of the PADI Advanced Open Water course takes you to the deeper dive sites of Boracay, such as the wrecks Camia and Tri-Bird (airplane).
You will participate in five dives, guided by me, your PADI instructor, to refine your skills. Here’s what you’ll experience:
- 2 Mandatory dives : a deep dive up to 30 meters and a navigation dive to refine your underwater orientation.
- Wreck diving: Dive into history and explore the haunting beauty of the Camia and Tri-Bird wrecks, accessible to Advanced divers.
- Customize your diving experience: Select three specialty courses to tailor your diving to your interests, such as wreck diving, search and recovery, or night diving.
- Dive deeper, learn more: Hone your underwater navigation skills, master buoyancy control to explore deeper depths, and learn to manage depth-related challenges.
- Uncover the underwater world: Every dive is a chance to explore new marine ecosystems and refine your diving techniques.
Upon completion of this course, you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive up to 30 meters worldwide.
Estimated time: This program includes 5 dives of approximately 2 hours each. Each dive includes gear up, a detailed briefing, boat ride to the dive site, underwater exploration.
